What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Business details: what you tell us about your business, your website address, contact details and any photos you upload.
- Campaign content: the posts and pictures we create for you, and their publishing status.
- Facebook / Instagram connection: the ID and name of the Page and Instagram account you choose, and an access key that lets us post for you. The key is stored encrypted. We never see or ask for your Facebook password.
- Payments: payment references and subscription status. Card details are handled by Paystack, not by us.
How we use it
Only to run the service for you: to write and design your posts, publish them to the social accounts you connected, manage your subscription, send you account emails, keep the service secure and provide support. We do not sell your information.
Services that help us
OpenAI (writing posts and making pictures from your business details), Post for Me (connecting your social accounts and publishing to them: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest, YouTube and Bluesky), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Supabase (storing pictures — published pictures are publicly viewable, like any social media post), Paystack (payments), Resend (emails) and Railway (hosting). Some of these store data outside Nigeria.
Connecting through Post for Me
When you click Connect, the network's own login page (or Post for Me's page) asks you to allow posting. The access is held by our publishing partner Post for Me; we keep only the account's name and ID and the IDs and links of the posts we published. For Bluesky you type an app password, which goes straight to Post for Me; we never store it. Disconnect any account inside the app (Social accounts → Disconnect) and we stop posting to it straight away.
Facebook and Instagram (Meta Platform data)
When you connect, you choose which Facebook Page and Instagram account we may use. We ask Meta only for these permissions, and use them only as described:
- pages_show_list and business_management: to show you your Pages and Business so you can pick the right one.
- pages_read_engagement: to read your Page's name and ID and get the Page access key needed to post.
- pages_manage_posts: to publish the posts you approved to your Facebook Page, on the days you scheduled.
- instagram_basic: to read the username and ID of the Instagram account linked to your Page.
- instagram_content_publish: to publish the posts you approved to that Instagram account.
We store: your Page and Instagram IDs and names, an encrypted access key, and the IDs of the posts we published. We do not read your messages, followers or personal profile, we do not use Meta data for advertising, and we never sell or share it. You can disconnect at any time inside the app (Social accounts → Disconnect), which deletes the access key, or remove the app in Facebook under Settings → Business integrations.
Enquiries sent to businesses
When you send an enquiry on a business's page, your name, phone number, email and message go to that business so they can reply. We keep them for the business and send at most two follow-up emails if you ticked the box, each with a link to stop them. We also count clicks on links in posts (without recording who clicked) so businesses can see which posts work. To have your enquiry deleted, ask the business, or email us.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your account and all its data at any time by emailing support@example.com from the email address on your account. We delete it within 30 days, except payment records we must keep by law.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details on the contact page.
We will update this page if our practices change.
